ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove

Ceej is going to be so happy.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign was funded to complete this newest entry in the ToeJam and Earl multiverse, Adult Swim (yes, that Adult Swim) has announced they are the new publisher and they have a brand new trailer to prove it.

I just don’t get it.  I never got it.  These games are not for me. It always reeked of “trying too hard”.  Even as a kid I thought it was lame but I was a Nintendo kid and had access to some of the best games of that generation.  I wasn’t some dirty Genesis scrublord.  Ceej on the other hand LOVED these games.  He even tried to get me on board with mixed results.

According to the super hip description given on the website:

Back in the Groove is a mash-up of the very best features from the classic console games (that’s one and two, y’all), with a pile of new features thrown in. The goal is to give old skool TJ & E fans a pure blast of funky nostalgia, and give new players a taste of the light-hearted, co-op play that is TJ & E.

Yeah, I hope Ceej has a blast.
