Doctor Strange Trailer and Captain Marvel Announced!

Magic is coming to the Marvel universe.  FINALLY.

Marvel continues their quest of dominating the cineplex with the arrival of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.  The film centers around the brilliant but arrogant surgeon Dr. Stephen Strange.   After his career is destroyed, he gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under her wing and trains him to defend the world against evil.

 

Crazy visuals, kung-fu Swinton, and magical spells being thrown about like it’s nothing?  Awesome.  Add in Hannibal with a case of extreme stank-eye and you have something not quite seen in the other Marvel films.  Get strange when this hits theaters in November.

 

Marvel also decided to finally confirm what has been hinted at for months.

Brie Larson IS Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel.

Not much has been revealed as to what her stand alone movie is about or when it’s coming out.  She may show up in a cameo in one of the gazillion other Marvel movies coming out in the upcoming months.  Personally?  I still wish she had a cameo in the original Guardians of the Galaxy flick but we’ll have to wait and see what Marvel decides to do.
