This is one of the few movies that honestly gave me nightmares as a kid.  I could watch the most hardcore horror movies with no problems, but this movie fucked me up bad.  The practical effects were definitely a part of that.   The Chiodo Brothers found a way to make clowns even freakier thanks to the stellar makeup work and costumes of the “Killer Klowns”.  Even now as a 31 year old man the costumes still kind of creep me out.  That’s a sign of something special.
