Ridley Scott to direct Blade Runner sequel!

YES.

According to the Wall Street Journal blog, Speakeasy, Ridley is back to direct the Blade Runner sequel.  He told the blog, “I think I’m close to finding a writer that might be able to help me deliver. We’re quite a long way in, actually.”

Will Deckard be back?  Ridley says, “No, not really.”

Being a huge fan of the original story, “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep” by Philip K. Dick and considering how different the movie is, I’m cautiously optimistic of another go in this fantastic universe as he could take this sequel in so many different directions.

Anyone else excited about this or just me?
