You Should Watch This: Krueger : Another Tale From Elm Street

Krueger: Another Tale From Elm Street is a short fan-film from filmmaker Chris R. Notarile that stars a pre-burned Freddy Krueger (played by Roberto Lombardi) as he stalks his prey on a playground.  Roberto pulls off a younger Robert Englund well (it’s the nose that clenches it) , but as is the case with fan-films you take the good with the bad.  The bad being the fact we will never get an actual Nightmare flick that is set in this time period.  To me, a Zodiac like story revolving around Freddy before he was burned would be interesting to see.  This and the short sequences in Freddy’s Dead and Freddy Vs. Jason is as close as we’re going to get.

If you like this then make sure to check out Chris’s website: Blinky Productions for even more short films. There is even a short film that takes an idea I had when I was 8 and makes it a reality.

Synopsis:
In Springwood, long before he became a demon of dreams, Freddy Krueger stalked the streets under another name – The Springwood Slasher. A little girl will learn why she should never get into a stranger’s car.
