The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary

So yeah, I’m feeling old as this year is the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda.  This was one of the first games along with Super Mario Brothers and The Goonies II (Annie > Ariel) that I owned for the Nintendo back in the day and the newest game in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, comes out this weekend (November 18, 2011).

While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Ocarina of Time (sorry, I’m more of A Link to the Past type of guy), I loved the hell out of Wind Waker and all of the DS entries and Skyward looks to be one the last big games to hit the Wii before the Wii U hits. And since it’s the 20th Anniversary of Zelda, Nintendo has been pulling out all of the stops.  Enjoy the main theme recorded by a real orchestra and not just some bloops and bleeps within the Nintendo system.

And for those of you who think orchestras are lame and would rather rock out to some dubstep (which all of the kids love today) here is a killer Lost Woods cover….
